I just post updates to pretty much all the Advanced tools apps on Android market. The main fixes are
1. Fixed camera preview not working on Samsung Galaxy S phones. It affected Advanced Bubble Level Pro, Advanced Ruler Pro, Advanced Protractor Pro
2. Added market licensing checking to all paid apps
3. Use ProGuard to obfuscate all the apks to protect our copyright
4. Made no sounds by default in several apps as people complained the sounds are annoying.
5. Phone database updates for Ruler and Ruler Pro

I’m having problems using Advanced Ruler Pro, on my T-mobile MyTouch 4G which I purchased last week. I cannot get the camera to open to “see” distant objects.

Sorry about that. Does other camera app work? Does reboot the phone work?
Thank you for your reply. I have turned off the phone and turned it back on. The other apps seem to be working, I have used the default barcode scanner (uses the camera) and other default apps. The normal ruler part of your app seems to be working fine.
Do you have any idea if other MyTouch 4G users have successfully (or unsuccesfully) used this app?

Got it. If so, it is clearly an issue with our app. I also heard from another user that his MyTouch 4G doesn’t work. In his case, the camera hangs. Unfortunately we don’t have a MyTouch 4G to try. Otherwise we can fix it easily. I’ll google around and see if other developers have the same issue and hope we will solve it soon. Thanks for the help.
